Army troops load ammunition into a 105 mm Howitzer canon and fire into Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) positions in Aleosan, North Cotabato Province, southern Philippines August 11, 2008. The military poured more troops and intensified its artillery assault to flush out renegade Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) rebels from some 22 villages they had occupied in North Cotabato. The fighting erupted after the Supreme Court last week stopped government from signing a deal with the MILF that would have given them powers to control vast swathes of land in the south.
